10 Players Who Were Last Year's Trash, but are This Year's Treasures
WR Hakeem Nicks, --- - Quality Backup
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Nicks is a great WR that for whatever reason seemed to wear out his welcome in New York. Now he's heading to Indy with a young superstar QB in the making and some talented receivers to divert attention away. With an aging Reggie Wayne coming off a torn ACL (and very little experience elsewhere), Nicks could emerge as the Colts' top receiver in 2014. If this guy slips in your draft, grab him; as long as he can stay healthy, he will bounce back in a big way!
WR Mike Wallace, --- - Solid/Safe Pick
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Wallace sputtered in his first year with the Dolphins. The line couldn't protect Tannehill, so they just couldn't get the ball down field with accuracy. Wallace is still one of the fastest receivers in the NFL and can take the top off any defense. The 'Phins have made great efforts to improve the offensive line, and brought in Knowshon Moreno to help the running game. I expect less double teams on Wallace with added weapons in Miami, and more time to throw for Ryan Tannehill. Wallace will never be the picture of consistency, but expect a lot more big plays and TDs heading his way in 2014.
WR Roddy White, --- - Solid/Safe Pick
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Both Roddy and Julio Jones actually. These guys are elite receivers who just weren't healthy last year. Assuming they are healthy, there is no reason to believe they won't once again be elite. However this may be the season Julio Jones separates himself as the clear cut top receiver for the Falcons.
TE Dwayne Allen, --- - Sleeper (undervalued)
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Pretty much the same situation as Dennis Pitta. Allen is a very good tight end that just got hurt. He should be back to form in 2014. I wouldn't rank him as high as Pitta (I'd put him just outside the top 10), but he has the potential to be as high as 7. Don't worry about Fleener, Allen will be the top guy in Indy.
TE Dennis Pitta, --- - Solid/Safe Pick
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Pitta suffered a hip injury last year that all but cost him his season. In 2014 he should be right back to form as a top tier tight end. My belief in Pitta is the only reason Owen Daniels isn't on this list. Pitta is a sure fire top 10 tight end, and very possibly as high as 3 by the seasons end. Make sure you don't forget about this guy or you will regret it.
