Millen out as Lions GM, President
Since 2001, Lions GM Matt Millen has presided over a team that compiled a 31-84 record, drafted numerous receivers in the early part of the first round and became a national joke. On Wednesday, it appears the other shoe has finally dropped.
Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported that Matt Millen has been removed as the President and GM of the Detroit Lions, according to sources. The Lions have struggled mightily to start the season, posting a 0-3 record while allowing over 37 points per game.
It is unlikely that this shakeup will immediately effect the Lions' coaching staff or personnel on the field, but the Lions could look to their backups like QB's Drew Stanton or Dan Orlovsky if the losses continue to pile up.
