WR Plaxico Burress has been suspended for two weeks for insubordination for failing to attend Monday's practice and not explaining the absence to the team. The Giants have a bye in Week 4 and Burress will miss the following week's game against the Seahawks.

This comes three weeks after Burress (who has 18 receptions for 259 yards and a touchdown) signed a hefty contract extension. Burress is expected to meet with the team officials on Wednesday to discuss the situation and why he did not respond to calls from the team.

Amani Toomer and Steve Smith now see a boost to their fantasy value, but only as a one-week fill in, though Toomer is a decent WR3 option in deeper leagues.
