Packers coach wants to give RB Ryan Grant more touches
Just when you thought running back James Starks
would take over for RB Ryan Grant
, head coach Mike McCarthy is quoted as saying, "Grant is an attempt runner. That's what he is. He's a bull. You've got to give him the ball, he gets better as the game moves forward. He's an excellent north and south runner. I don't think the defensive players probably enjoy tackling him a lot."
Fantasy Analysis:
There's no telling what to make out of that quote. McCarthy seems to be alluding to using Grant more later in the game, particularly against worn down defenses. As a comparison, both players have 32 carries. Grant has a slight edge in yardage (157 to 147) while Starks has the lone rushing touchdown between them both. Starks has six receptions for 39 yards and Grant has four receptions for 19 yards. Obviously, both these guys aren't that far apart so far.
