Cowboys' Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, Felix Jones all officially questionable
The Dallas Cowboys held their final practice of the week Saturday in preparation for Monday game against the Washington Redskins. Injured offensive starters Tony Romo, Dez Bryant
and Felix Jones
are all listed on the team's injury report as questionable to play, but the good news is that each of them took part in practice.
Romo threw more passes than he had at any point in the week and drew positive reviews from teammates on his performance. Romo rested his broken rib and punctured lung during practice on Thursday and Friday.
"He looked good," tight end Jason Witten said of Romo. "Threw the ball well, took command. You could tell he was excited. That was good to get some practice work with him."
Bryant said his injured quad felt fine after practice, but he didn't completely commit to playing Monday night, simply saying, "It's not a sure thing."
Bryant didn't practice on Thursday and Friday. Jones was limited in practice for the consecutive day as he tries to play eight days after separating a shoulder.
Fantasy Analysis:
I think all three of these guys will play, and if you are in a 12-team league, I think they all belong in your fantasy lineup somewhere unless you are especially loaded with talent. Jones is a pretty decent flex play. Bryant, especially with Miles Austin out, can be a great WR2. Romo will probably have to play through a good amount of pain, but like I wrote yesterday, he did it last week with a lot of success. In the Cowboys' home opener, Romo's adrenaline will be running all night and I think he can survive on that alone. He'll be a solid fantasy start.
Alas, my optimism should be given a dose of reality. There's a chance some or none of these players suit up Monday. If you're looking for in-house replacements -- because you don't have much choice on Monday night -- quarterback Jon Kitna, wide receiver Kevin Ogletree
and running back DeMarco Murray
are your guys. I like Murray more than Tashard Choice.
