Broncos WR Brandon Lloyd probable; RB Knowshon Moreno questionable
Denver Broncos Brandon Lloyd
and Knowshon Moreno
both missed week two's showdown against Cincinnati. For this week, it looks like Lloyd is out of the woods after full practices on Thursday and Friday. But Moreno, who went through limited practice all week, is considered a game-time decision for another week. Moreno is battling a hamstring injury. If he can't play, Willis McGahee would fill in for him again.
Lloyd was a last-minute inactive for last week's game because of a groin injury.
Fantasy Analysis:
First of all, start Lloyd. The Tennessee Titans' defense is actually halfway decent this year, but Lloyd is at least a WR2. Kyle Orton looks his way early and often.
McGahee got an amazing 28 carries last week and didn't look very good on almost any of them. That's not his game any longer. He can't carry a running game. However, if Moreno is out for another week, I think you have to consider McGahee as a flex starter only because he is going to get those touches. And maybe he'll fall into the end zone.
However, if Moreno plays, which I would expect, I would stay away from this running game. All of it. I think you'll be looking at a full-blown timeshare at least for this week as the Broncos try to work Moreno back into the rotation without re-aggravating his hamstring.
