Seahawks WR Sidney Rice to make season debut Sunday
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice
missed the first two games of the season because of the shoulder injury, and it has been confirmed that he has a torn labrum in that shoulder. However, he'll be on the field Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. He practiced all week and is listed as probable.
"If there were any questions, I'm sure [head coach Pete Carroll] and those guys wouldn't even have me out there," Rice said. "I feel comfortable, I'm ready to go and we'll see how it goes Sunday."
Fantasy Analysis:
Rice instantly becomes the Seahawks' No. 1 WR. He'll need to show that he's worth all of the money the Seahawks gave him during the offseason, but I don't think he'll be all that great, and the reason is obvious. It's not really his fault; it's the same thing that holding back all of Seattle's offense: quarterback Tarvaris Jackson
. Rice and his 6-foot-4-inch frame will catch some touchdowns. But don't at all bank on him being a consistent top-20 fantasy wide receiver.
