Rams RBs Steven Jackson & Cadillac Williams dealing with injuries

St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson @sj39 (quad) was a limited practice participant on Thursday. This was the first time Jackson was able to get some reps in since being injured early on in the Rams regular season opener. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that Jackson is somewhere between "questionable to doubtful" to play against the Baltimore Ravens this week. His backup, Cadillac Williams (hamstring), did not practice on Thursday so if both backs are out, Jerious Norwood or Quinn Porter would play in their absence.

Fantasy Analysis:

Jackson is a must-start if he's available to play, even against a Ravens defense. Nobody's tougher than Jackson and he's more than willing to play while hurt. Add to the fact that Williams is unlikely to play, all the more reason Jackson will push to play. Deep league formats should consider investing in Jerious Norwood. He's still an explosive runner than can do some damage after playing his previous five years with the Atlanta Falcons.
