Chargers TE Antonio Gates misses practice
Yet again, San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates
(foot) missed practice on Thursday. Gates was shut out during his game against the New England Patriots, a stark contrast the opening game of the season when he had eight receptions for 74 yards. Gates has been dealing with this injury since last year, if not longer. For a player that relies on planting his feet and making cuts to find openings in defenses, this is a big concern moving forward.
Fantasy Analysis:
Some analysts that follow the Chargers closely feel that Gates will be dealing with this injury for the rest of his career. After two polar opposite games, it's hard to know what to make of this situation. If Gates plays and struggles against Kansas City, this red flag becomes official. Nobody has struggled to put up against the Chiefs thus far. Gates should take a seat on your bench until further notice.
