UPDATE: Cowboys QB Romo in pain, taking things 'day by day'

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo may have broken ribs, but he's taking it all in stride. "We're going to take it day by day, " said Romo. "I know that doctors are looking at it each day and we're trying to figure out the stuff with the lung that hopefully we're done here in the next day or two." Romo was measured for a protective vest that would protect his ribs. Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett feels hopeful that Romo will be able to play on Monday against the Washington Redskins. If Romo is unable to play, QB Jon Kitna will replace him.

Fantasy Analysis:

Romo was able to play with the pain last week against the San Francisco 49ers and played well. Since the team is going to the trouble to get him a protective vest, it's safe to assume they plan on playing him. This Monday Night Football game against the Redskins holds unique significance since Washington is currently 2-0 and leading the NFC East. While there are many games to play, the Skins looks revitalized thus far. If Romo plays, he's a must-start for your fantasy roster and Kitna should only be an option if you're desperate for a QB. Don't forget that the Cowboys will be without WR Miles Austin @MilesAustinIII for a few weeks.
