Rams QB Sam Bradford probable; RB Steven Jackson questionable

Maybe the most interesting thing to note from the St. Louis Rams' injury report this week is that the team hasn't yet ruled out running back Steven Jackson @sj39. Jackson hasn't practiced all week because of a quadriceps injury, but head coach Steve Spagnuolo said a decision on Jackson's playing status probably won't be made until Monday.
"I'll visit with [Jackson] tomorrow and see where we're at and maybe we'll take this thing, obviously right up until game day with the extra day and being a night game," Spagnuolo said Saturday. "Probably work him out on game day and see where we're going."
Otherwise, regarding players whom fantasy owners care about, it's as expected. Quarterback Sam Bradford has practiced all week and is listed as probable. He has a bruised right index finger. Wide receiver Danny Amendola @DannyAmendola won't be out for the entire season and he may not be out for an entire month. But he is very likely to miss this game because of his dislocated elbow. He is officially listed as doubtful.

Fantasy Analysis:

Play it safe and put Jackson on your bench. Cadillac Williams would draw the start against the Giants' run defense, which is pretty good. But it sounds like Williams is going to get around 20 touches in this game, so he's at least a flex play in 12-team leauges.
Bradford is a solid QB2 this week. The Giants are horrid beyond the defensive line and even without Amendola, the Rams have plenty of capable targets for Sam to use. A couple of particular interest are Brandon Gibson @Bgibson04 and Greg Salas @GregSalas1. Gibson can be a deep threat and should be Bradford's most trusted target in Monday's game. However, he does have a penchant for drops. Salas, a fourth-round rookie, is a receiver who can do a lot of things similar to Amendola. He will play out of the slot and, like Gibson, is an option as a WR3 in deep leagues, especially those with PPR. Thanks to injuries to Marques Colston and Jacoby Ford, I'm starting Gibson as my third wide receiver in a standard 12-teamer. Its worth a shot.
