Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis doubtful for week 2
Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis
was on the practice field Friday to test out his injured calf muscle. Apparently, it didn't respond as well as he or the team had hoped. Lewis is listed as doubtful to play on the Jaguars' official injury report. He didn't practice on Wednesday or Thursday before showing up in some capacity today.
Lewis injured his calf in week one against the Tennessee Titans, although he said that it was just a case of cramps. Lewis caught two passes for 28 yards before leaving. Jacksonville hopes he can return for next week's game versus the Carolina Panthers. Zach Miller, who didn't play last week because of a knee injury, will fill in.
Fantasy Analysis:
Versus the Jets on the road with an inexperienced quarterback? You want nothing to do with the Jags' passing game this week. Maurice Jones-Drew remains a must-start, but you obviously need to temper expectations. There won't be hardly anything to distract New York's defense from him.
