Broncos WR Brandon Lloyd game-time decision; RB Knowshon Moreno likely out
Brandon Lloyd
and Knowshon Moreno
are both listed as questionable on the Denver Broncos' official injury report, but that's not to say they have equal chances of playing Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Lloyd participated in practice Friday after missing the past two days to rehab his groin injury. Meanwhile, Moreno was still on the sidelines. He missed all three practices this week and appears to be unlikely to play because of a hamstring injury.
Fantasy Analysis:
Willis McGahee becomes a pretty nice flex play this week against that Bengals' defense. The Broncos don't really have a clear option behind him (Lance Ball??) to steal a lot of carries, and you know McGahee is going to get the short-yardage looks. You could do much worse.
We'll check back on Moreno next week, but hamstring injuries have been his downfall in the past couple of years. I think he'll be questionable to play in week 3.
Lloyd is a difficult property to assess. He won't be full strength against the Bengals, and a quality cornerback in Leon Hall will be shadowing him. Still, Kyle Orton loves him. He's going to get a lot of targets. I think he's a decent WR2 in a 12-team league.
