UPDATE: Seahawks WR Sidney Rice expected to miss another week
Update: Rice has been officially ruled out for week 2.
Wide receiver Sidney Rice
's status for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers appeared to be more positive than negative on Wednesday when he took part in limited practice. It seems to have gone downhill from there. On Friday, Seattle Seahawks head coach all but shut the door on Rice's chances of playing on Sunday. According to Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN radio in Seattle, Carroll said Rice "won't play in this game unless something goes crazy here in the next day in our travel if he can just get healed." Rice has been dealing with a shoulder injury since the preseason.
Fantasy Analysis:
Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but the second half of that quote, everything after "travel," makes no sense to me. Regardless, I'm pretty sure you don't want to start any Seahawks this week. It's one thing that they are facing the Steelers on the road. But considering how angry the Steelers will be coming into this game after the massive whooping they took last week, this one could get really ugly really quickly.
