Bears WR Roy Williams misses Thursday practice
Due to an injured groin, Chicago Bears wide receiver Roy Williams was unable to practice on Thursday. Williams' status for Chicago's game against the New Orleans Saints is currently questionable. This makes for two straight days with no practice for the eight year veteran. "It's not a bad thing missing a day of practice," said Williams. "I remember in Detroit during the best year I had ... I missed Wednesday and Thursday practices [one week and] played against the Bills Sunday and I had like ten catches for 161 yards and a touchdown."
Fantasy Analysis:
Williams had four catches for 55 yards in the Bears regular season opener. Not a terrible day, but nothing to write home about either. For those that drafted Williams hoping he could turn his career around, he should probably on your team's short list for cuts. This is the time of year to make moves and grab players who can impact your team for the better. Rather than rely on Williams' limited upside in an offense that typically fails to produce fantasy relevant wide receivers, you should check out the waiver wire and see what is available.
