Titans head coach admits Chris Johnson has to get more carries
The Tennessee Titans trailed by more than one score for most of Sunday's game versus the Jaguars, but it was a blowout by no means. However, the Titans threw the ball on 72 percent of their plays, basically ignoring Chris Johnson
. Head coach Mike Munchak said that just can't happen.
"He made some plays here and there," Munchak said of Johnson, "but like I said there wasn't a lot of running room and if you want to get a back going, he's got to have more than four carries in the first half. He has to get more touches, but he didn't get them. It's hard to judge someone who, I think in the end, only carried the ball seven or eight times. It's kind of hard to judge where he's at when he didn't have the opportunity."
Johnson carried the ball just nine times for 24 yards. He also caught six passes for 25 yards.
Fantasy Analysis:
Johnson and the Titans will host the Baltimore Ravens next week. While it's a tough matchup, expect Johnson to be on a mission after this lackluster performance. He said yesterday that he feels really good physically, so lack of conditioning doesn't seem to be a problem. He just has to get more chances, and I think he'll get them next week. Don't panic.
