Report: Saints WR Marques Colston has broken collarbone, out 4 weeks
With about 30 seconds remaining in the New Orleans Saints' game Thursday night, wide receiver Marques Colston
broke his right collarbone. He will be out for four weeks, says FOX Sports' Jay Glazer. Colston caught six passes for 81 yards against the Green Bay Packers. He also lost a fumble.
Fantasy Analysis:
Colston actually made a couple of diving plays late in that game; it was the second one, one that got the Saints inside the 20-yard line, on which he broke the collarbone. You can see him slumping his shoulder and in obvious discomfort during the final few plays, but he stayed in the game. Four weeks seems like a sunny timetable. I would put it more toward 6-8 weeks. It's a tough loss for the Saints, but they have receivers such as Devery Henderson, Robert Meachem and Jimmy Graham
to pick up the slack. Many fantasy teams (including mine) will have a harder time replacing Colston.
