Seahawks WR Sidney Rice uncertain for Week 1

Seattle Seahawks head coach has been reported saying that wide receiver Sidney Rice @sidneyrice is questionable for his Week 1 start against the San Francisco 49ers on September 11. Rice is recovering from a shoulder injury and may not be able to practice much during the week leading up to the game. Rice only played in six games last year with the Minnesota Vikings. He was one of the big free agent acquisitions brought in by the Seahawks.

Fantasy Analysis:

Rice has a lot to prove this year. I have my doubts about whether he'll ever be able to repeat his breakout 2009 campaign in Seattle's offense. Tarvaris Jackson @7tjackson hasn't shown much consistency as a passer in his career. For all that was made about Mike Williams @BigMikeWill17 comeback year in 2010, his numbers werent' all that great and that was with Matt Hasselbeck @Hasselbeck under center. Rice is still very young at the age of 25, so there's still plenty of time for him to get his career back on track, starting with a resilient 2011 season.
