Donald Jones will be Bills' No. 2 wideout
If you believe that every starting receiver has fantasy value -- and I do -- then you'll have at least some interest in this note. Although Donald Jones
has missed the Buffalo Bills' last two preseason games with a concussion, he has been named the team's second starting wide receiver, lining up across the field from Steve Johnson.
"I've definitely been told that I'll be the 'Z' or number two receiver," Jones told the Bills' official website on Monday. "It wasn't a shock. I kind of knew for a while, but nobody else knew."
Jones, an undrafted rookie out of Youngstown State in 2010, caught 18 passes in 15 games last season. He gained 213 yards and scored one touchdown.
Fantasy Analysis:
Yes, Jones has fantasy value. But it's fairly insignificant unless you are playing in a 20-team league. Johnson is the clear No. 1 guy in this passing game and worth being a low-end WR2 in 12-team leagues. The likes of Roscoe Parrish, Marcus Easley, David Nelson and Brad Smith will join Jones in picking up the slack, but I don't expect one of those players to break out.
