Rex Grossman gets first shot as Redskins' starting QB

What was maybe the most hotly contested and least interesting quarterback battle of the summer has a winner. According to NFL.com's Jason La Canfora, the Washington Redskins will start Rex Grossman at quarterback Sunday versus the New York Giants. Most expected this news after Grossman sat out the team's final preseason game while John Beck played with the second-string offense.

Fantasy Analysis:

Unfortunately, someone had to win the job. And so what if Grossman is the starter to open the season? Mike Shanahan still loves himself some John Beck, and I figure we'll see both QBs start games this season. It will be a fluid situation all year long. Receiving options such as Santana Moss @EIGHTTODANINE and Anthony Armstrong @MrArmstrong13 are nothing better than WR3, but you pretty much knew that. I don't have many positive things to say about this offense. But it sound be fun(ny) to watch this season.
