Saints RB Chris Ivory hits PUP list

New Orleans Saints running back Chris Ivory @ivory33 has been placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list and will be eligible to return to the fold during Week 7. Ivory is still recovering from a Lisfranc fracture which required surgery. He did not practice in August. Ivory was the team's RB4 behind Mark Ingram @MarkIngram22, Pierre Thomas @Pierre_Thomas and Darren Sproles @DarrenSproles. Ivory played in 12 games last year, contributing 716 yards on 137 carries and five scores.

Fantasy Analysis:

Ivory was a solid contributor for the Saints last year. Although they had added options ahead of him on the depth chart, they likely wouldn't have needed to make it such a pressing matter if his injury hadn't limited his 2011 potential. Now Ivory is out for the first six weeks of the year and it's unlikely he has much of an impact. Fantasy owners should be targeting Ingram on draft day as a potential red-zone beast for this spread offense.
