Bears RB Chester Taylor finally, officially released
We all thought running back Chester Taylor got cut Monday ... until we found out he wasn't cut Monday. The Chicago Bears brought him back, and Taylor played in the team's final preseason game.
On Saturday, Taylor was cut. This time, it's for reals. Taylor's agent, Ken Sarnoff, confirmed Taylor's release on Twitter. Taylor gained just 27 rushing yards on 10 carries in Thursday's game versus the Cleveland Browns.
Fantasy Analysis:
Considering Taylor averaged just 2.4 yards per carry last season, he needed to do a lot more on Thursday to secure a spot on this team. He'll probably latch on elsewhere, but he will have minimal fantasy value. I think it's easy to say he doesn't have much left in the tank. He'll turn 32 in a few weeks. Marion Barber
will fill the role of Matt Forte
's backup.
