Bears apparently aren't going to cut Chester Taylor yet
It's been a manic Monday for Chicago Bears running back Chester Taylor. Head coach Lovie Smith told him earlier this morning that he was going to be released. With that news, Taylor left the Bears' practice facility. But he was told to return later in the day after the Bears called him and said that he is actually in their plans and that they haven't released him yet. Even Taylor's agent has no idea what's going on.
"Here's a first for me - the Bears just called me and said they have NOT released Chester," Ken Sarnoff said via Twitter. "He did talk with Lovie though...misunderstanding?"
Fantasy Analysis:
I still think Taylor is going to get cut or traded at some point -- I doubt the Bears want to pay $1.25 million in salary for a third-string running back. But this story has taken a strange road toward finality. I expect my next update on Taylor will be about him no longer being with the Bears. No matter where he lands, he still won't have much or any fantasy value.
