Ravens WR Lee Evans wearing protective boot
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Lee Evans
failed to participate in practice on Saturday and was seen with a protective boot on his left foot. Evans wasn't limping or favoring the foot but it appears to be a small injury setback. Baltimore has its preseason finale on Thursday and it's unlikely the team will force Evans into the game, preferring to rest him for the regular season opener. Evans has six receptions, 128 yards and a TD so far in two preseason games.
Fantasy Analysis:
Evans has been playing pretty well thus far but the Ravens are unlikely to produce much of a passing attack as one of the more run-heavy teams in the NFL for many years now. Evans certainly gives the team a legitimate deep threat to stretch the field at times but with so many passes going to RB Ray Rice
, it's unlikely Evans would eclipse Derrick Mason
's solid 2010 numbers: 61 catches, 802 yards and seven scores.
