Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles likely to miss preseason game with leg injury

The possible No. 1 pick in some fantasy drafts is currently nursing an injury. According to Bob Gretz, who has been covering the Kansas City Chiefs for 30 years, running back Jamaal Charles @jcharles25 has "some sort of leg injury" that may keep him out of tonight's preseason game versus the Rams. Charles suffered the vague injury during Wednesday's practice and it isn't considered to be serious right now, but head coach Todd Haley may hold him out of the game as a precaution.

Fantasy Analysis:

I don't write a whole lot on here about players who are dealing with minor, unknown injuries. Especially in the preseason, something has to be confirmed as broken, fractured, pulled, torn or concussed to get my attention. But when talking about one of the top players in fantasy, any injury possibility is worth noting. I fully expect Charles to return to practice next week. Maybe we'll get some more information on the certain type of injury he has, but this note isn't going to keep me from spending a top-three pick on him in a draft.
