Cincinnati Bengals running back Cedric Benson still has not yet heard from the NFL concerning a July arrest stemming from an assault causing bodily injury to a family member charge. Typically, Benson would have received a letter from NFL commissioner Roger Goddell if the league had planned to take action against him but with no notice at this point in time, Benson is likely to avoid any suspension or fines.

Fantasy Analysis:

Since the arrest occurred before the lockout was lifted, it appears Benson in the clear. Fantasy owners appear to be skeptical of Benson this year despite two consecutive years with good production. The uncertainty surrounding the Bengals offense under a new system and a rookie QB aren't helping matters either. Benson is a solid RB3 for your fantasy roster, especially if he falls in your lap after being passed on for a round or more. He's not a sexy pick but he does provide good value in the right situation.
