RB Darren McFadden, WR Jacoby Ford return to Raiders practice
Perhaps the Oakland Raiders' two best fantasy players made their return to the practice field Monday after extended absences. Running back Darren McFadden
and wide receiver Jacoby Ford
got some reps in for the first time in weeks. McFadden broke an orbital bone during practice Aug. 3. Ford had been out of action with a broken hand since late July.
Quarterback Jason Campbell, who was expected to practice today, did not participate. He suffered a concussion during Saturday's preseason game versus the San Francisco 49ers.
Fantasy Analysis:
McFadden and Ford are two players with a lot of upside if they can stay healthy.
Despite giving away some touches to Michael Bush, McFadden can be a top-10 fantasy running back with ease. He gained more than 1,600 yards from scrimmage and scored 10 touchdowns last season. But he has missed at least three games in each of his first three seasons due to injury.
Ford is a true big-play threat who is developing as an NFL receiver, but the Raiders aren't afraid to get him involved as a kick returner and in the run game with end-around plays. He won't put up stable fantasy totals, but if you need a bye-week fill-in or an injury replacement, Ford is an excellent option. I think his ceiling for this season is as a solid WR3 in 10-team leagues.
