Colts RB Delone Carter is No. 2 on depth chart

Indianapolis Colts rookie running back Delone Carter @DeloneCarter has positioned himself ahead of RB Donald Brown and fellow rookie RB Darren Evans as the Colts No. 2 back. If starter Joseph Addai sustained a serious injury and was forced to miss playing time, Carter would receive the bulk of the carries in his absense. Currently Javarris James @HurricaneJames5 and Chad Spann are at the bottom of the depth chart.

Fantasy Analysis:

Carter needed to seperate himself from Evans and Spann. He hasn't done much, but he's done enough for now. The Colts offense is a bit of a question mark due to the uncertainty of Peyton Manning's neck injury. Manning threw the ball 679 times last year, the most attempts in the NFL. An improvement at running back would really go a long way in balancing this offense. Carter doesn't have any fantasy value at this point but if Addai goes down, the rookie out of Syracuse is definitely worth an add.
