Bills WR Roscoe Parrish out for second preseason game
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Roscoe Parrish
will be held out for his second consecutive preseason game. Due to the departure of veteran receiver Lee Evans
, there has been a serious position battle ongoing in the Buffalo practices but Parrish hasn't been able to particiate having missed eight days of practice. He's spent his entire career with the Bills and should be familiar with the playbook but getting back in shape and earning a starting role might not be easy.
Fantasy Analysis:
The Bills used receiver Donald Jones
as the No. 2 starter in the preseason opener alongside 2010 breakout player Steve Johnson. Buffalo isn't quite an offensive juggernaut but the NFL and ultimately fantasy football is all about playing time and opportunity. Parrish will need to readjust quickly when he's fully healthy in order to make an impact at the start of the 2011 season. Fantasy owners should avoid Parrish but keep him in mind as the season progresses.
