Free agent WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh to meet with Patriots
T.J. Houshmandzadeh, former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver turned free agent, will meet with the New England Patriots on Monday. The Pats already have 11 receivers in camp so it's unclear why they may be interested, especially following Taylor Price's fantastic five reception, 105 yard and one score during New England's first preseason game.
Fantasy Analysis:
Is Chad Ochocinco wheeling and dealing with the Patriots' management to get his old teammate, both in Cincinnati and Oregon State, a shot on the roster? Either way, it could also be a bit of gamesmanship as the Indianapolis Colts have also expressed interest. By throwing their hat in the ring, it may force the Colts to spend more money. I wouldn't put it past the Pats as a new way to stick it to their old rivals. Housh floundered last year with the Ravens, only totaling 30 receptions so something big would have to happen for you to consider him a viable option.
