Redskins WR Jabar Gaffney could be No. 2 on depth chart
Washington Redskins newly acquired wide receiver Jabar Gaffney
has been running with the first-team offense in practice ahead of incumbent receiver Anthony Armstrong
. Gaffney played with the Broncos last year and enjoyed a moderately successful year with 65 receptions, 875 yards and two scores. With Rex Grossman potentially at the helm in Washington, Gaffney would be paired up with a former teammate from their college days at the University of Florida.
Fantasy Analysis:
Rookie receiver Leonard Hankerson hasn't impressed with lots of drops during practice and Armstrong appears to be on the outside looking-in. Fantasy owners should continue to look to Santana Moss
for the bulk of the receiving production but for deeper leagues, this position battle is one worth watching. Gaffney is a solid possession receiver who can easily match his 2010 numbers.
