Steelers' Hines Ward off PUP list, able to practice
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward
is expected to practice today after being activated off the training camp physically unable to perform list. Since camp opened, Ward has been on the mend, continuing his recovery from June thumb surgery to repair ligament damage.
Fantasy Analysis:
The Steelers can certainly use Ward's services considering Emmanuel Sanders is unavailable right now after breaking his foot. Sanders is expected to see more playing time this season. The Steelers have also talked to free agent wideout Jerricho Cotchery about jumping on board. Both players would definitely eat into Ward's fantasy value. He's 35 years old and averaged just 47.2 yards per game over 16 games last season. Ward is healthy, but he won't be worth much in fantasy leagues this year. I wouldn't expect more than 60 catches, 700 yards and a handful of scores.
