Eagles WR DeSean Jackson reports to training camp

Wide receiver DeSean Jackson @DeseanJackson10 arrived in Philadelphia on Sunday night and he reported to Eagles training camp on Monday morning. Jackson had been staying away from training camp to display his displeasure of not having a long-term contract. Jackson is entering the final year of his current deal and is scheduled to earn $600,000 this season. But if Jackson had failed to show up by Tuesday, he would not have accrued a fourth year of NFL service, meaning he would not have been an unrestricted free agent next March. So he has returned to his team with hopes that an extension can be worked out before the start of the season. "I can tell you he's excited to be back," quarterback Michael Vick said of Jackson. "He's ready to come back and play football this season, ready to come back and handle his business, be the consummate teammate. He's going to come in and let his play speak for itself, come in with a different attitude.

Fantasy Analysis:

The holdout shouldn't have hurt Jackson's fantasy value. He is still a fringe WR1. He's not a great PPR option; he caught just 47 passes last season. But when he touches the ball, Jackson is a big play waiting to happen. He has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in each of the past two seasons and will add about 100 more yards and maybe a touchdown or two on the ground.
