Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis gets his long-term deal

Some players -- Chris Johnson, DeSean Jackson -- are holding out of training camp until they get a long-term contract. Some players -- Frank Gore, Matt Forte -- have reported to training camp despite still desiring big money. Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis @MarcedesLewis89 was a member of that latter group until Friday. That's when Lewis and the team agreed to terms on a five-year, $35 million contract with $17 million guaranteed. Lewis, who was scheduled to play under the team's franchise tag this season, skipped the first five days of training camp while waiting for a new deal. He reported to camp Monday, but sat out full-contact drills while the contract was being negotiated. Lewis caught 58 passes for 700 yards and 10 touchdowns last season.

Fantasy Analysis:

You know what the deal is with Lewis -- lots of touchdowns, yards are gravy. He finished eight games last season with fewer than 40 yards, so if he's not scoring, he's not going to give you much. Thus, Lewis is a risky tight end, but that TD potential puts him at or around the top 10 at the position in fantasy.
