WR Braylon Edwards finally finds home in San Francisco

Braylon Edwards @OfficialBraylon was unable to secure that No. 1 wide receiver deal he was searching for. But with the clocking ticking fast toward the start of the season, he had to sign somewhere. On Thursday, he finally did. Edwards will be a San Francisco 49er this season after he and the team agreed to terms on a one-year, $3.5 million, "prove it" contract. He broke the news himself on Twitter. "It's official #Team17 we have moved to the bay," Edwards wrote. "I'm a proud member of the San Fransisco 49ers." In the short term, Edwards will fill in for the abssent Michael Crabtree @KingCrab15, who is expected to miss most if not all of training camp with a foot injury.

Fantasy Analysis:

Last season, Braylon Edwards caught 53 passes for 904 yards and seven touchdowns, his best statistical season in three years. But now he's moving to a team with a less steady hand at quarterback and a No. 1 wide receiver across from him who certainly doesn't demand as much defensive attention as Santonio Holmes. Add in his myriad of off-field problems and a possible suspension, and I don't see how Edwards can be considered anything more than a low-level WR3 in fantasy this season.
