Patriots' Tom Brady injury update: He's looking pretty good

Sure, it was just Tom Brady throwing passes in street clothes during a flag-football game at a charity event Friday night -- but there's never a bad time to get the latest on how Brady looks on his feet. About five months ago, he underwent surgery during which a screw was placed in his right foot. According to Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald, Brady looks to be recovering well. "Let's just say, if the lockout ended tomorrow, there isn't much to worry about when it comes to No. 12," Guregian wrote. "The reigning MVP of the NFL can still sling it with the best of them. "For starters, he was favoring the foot a bit, but that didn't really hamper him. He threw the football around with ease, whether making long or short throws. As always, he was incredibly accurate. He also threw off the run, while rolling out, so the foot can't be bothering him too much. "But there was definitely a limp, and it does appear Brady was wearing some kind of brace. He has also put on a bit of weight, probably due to inactivity from being off the foot early on. "If it's possible, he's even slower when he's running. But none of those elements impacted his delivery, at least from what we saw in full view last night."

Fantasy Analysis:

Sounds good for now. We'll check back later, hopefully when Brady and the Patriots are holding organized team activities in full pads. The MVP will be just fine by the time the season begins. He remains among the top fantasy options at QB.
