Seahawks' Mike Williams is in the best shape of his life

There's no doubt that most athletes get criticized and analyzed too harshly these days. That's just part of the evolution of sports media. But it's always nice when athletes point out their own glaring missteps publicly and use them as motivation. Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Mike Williams @BigMikeWill17 entered this league as a top-10 draft pick out of USC. While expectations were high, Williams' desire was low. He had a horrible worth ethic, put on a lot of weight and was a massive bust -- pun intended -- with the Lions. He resurfaced with the Seahawks last year after two seasons out of the league and had a bit of a resurrection. He led the team by a wide margin in catches and receiving yards, and now his workout habits sound pretty intense. Williams told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer that he does six hours of cardio per day and is not going to revert to his lazy form. "This whole offseason, everyone's been saying, 'Oh, all this time off and his attitude, he's going to be fat again,'" Williams said. "Well, good luck with that. I'm here having a good time, and let's get back to work."

Fantasy Analysis:

Stories about football players staying in shape during the lockout aren't very interesting, but conditioning is critical for Williams considering all of the problems he had with the Lions. Williams isn't a game-breaking receiver, but he proved in 2010 that he can be a reliable PPR option. He's probably nothing more than a WR3 in standard leagues. That could improve if the Seahawks can get some better play out of their quarterbacks.
