Packers' Jermichael Finley says surgically repaired knee 'feels brand new'

No tight end entered last season with more hype than the Green Bay Packers' Jermichael Finley @JermichaelF88. After a strong second half to the 2009 season and his outstanding performance in the wild card round against Arizona, some people forecasted Finley to be the No. 1 scorer among tight ends in fantasy after all was done in 2010. But as last season ended and the Green Bay Packers celebrated their fourth Super Bowl championship, Finley was inactive, just as he had been since tearing his right lateral meniscus Oct. 3 versus Detroit. Now, Finley is on the comeback trail and is coming back pretty fast. Last month, he ran routes for the first time since his surgery and received good reviews. On Thursday, Finley updated all of his fans on the condition of his right knee, and it sounds pretty positive. "I just thought to myself that its May & this knee feels brand new already," Finley wrote. Finley caught 21 passes for 301 yards and one touchdown in four games before his season abruptly ended.

Fantasy Analysis:

We'll keep tabs on Finley's knee, and while it does present his fantasy stock with a good deal of risk, Finley's potential remains extremely high. He should be motivated to put up some beastly numbers this season as it is a contract year for the 24-year-old tight end.
