Florida's Will Hill declares early for NFL Draft

University of Florida safety Will Hill has decided to forgo his senior season in Gainesville, Florida and has declared himself eligible for the 2011 NFL Draft. Hill told Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post his intentions to declare early despite the fact that the University of Florida has not confirmed this news yet. When it came to making his decision, Hill said, "It took a while to come to that conclusion, but the thing that made me come out and try to go pro is I have a family," Hill told Lieser. "It's a priority of mine to help my family. I have little ones to look after. I feel like this was best decision for me and them." Recently, Hill's teammate cornerback Janoris Jenkins made the announcement that he would return to Florida when it was presumed both he and Hill would come out together.

Fantasy Analysis:

Considering his situation, Hill likely made the best decision for him. Although he is unlikely to go in the first round, he would be a very good pick-up in round two or three. His draft stock has gone down a bit but Hill has stated that he played while injured this season. Florida is currently in a state of flux. Urban Meyer stepped down as head coach and Florida went 8-5 which was their lowest win total since 2004 (Meyer took over the following year as head coach). If Florida continued to struggle, it would only work to make Hill look even worse. And obviously, with three children to support, it's time to move on.
