Bills' Fitzpatrick questionable after missing two practices

According to the Buffalo Bills' official website, starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick missed his second consecutive day of practice on Thursday due ot a knee injury suffered last week against New England. Head coach Chan Gailey is not optimistic that Fitzpatrick will play. "Fitz's knee is still bothering him enough that he couldn't practice (Thursday). We'll see how he feels (Friday). When a guy doesn't practice you're concerned," said Gailey. "So I don't know. We hope he can make it, I don't know if he will or not to be honest with you." Backup quarterback Brian Brohm has taken the first team reps in Fitzpatrick's absence. Wide receiver Donald Jones @Dajones19 also missed practice on Thursday. He is still recovering from a head injury when he landed awkwardly during a catch attempt last week against the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Analysis:

Fitzpatrick has put together a solid season, at least for a Bills' quarterback. Even though he likely isn't a starter in most fantasy leagues, most deeper leagues probably recognize his name and can better appreciate his season. So far in 2010, he's passed for 23 touchdowns and exactly 3,000 yards. If he passes for two touchdowns this week, he'll be only the third Buffalo quarterback to throw for 25 or more in a single season. Jones, while not a fantasy impact player, has had a solid second half of the season. In only eight games, he has 18 receptions, 213 yards and a score. He's a big-bodied target who could develop into a solid third-option in Buffalo's receiving corps in the future. As for Fitzpatrick, it's best for owners to find someone else to use in their fantays lineups if they were hoping he could play.
