Chiefs' head coach: We'll play to win

The Kansas City Chiefs have something to play for this week. Sure, they've already clinched the AFC West, but another win would be the difference between being the third or the fourth seed in the AFC playoffs. With only seeding at stake, some coaches might choose to give their starters some rest. That doesn't seem to be the approach of head coach Todd Haley. He wants to win. "We're a transitioning team," Haley said Monday. "Maybe some teams can look at games differently, but I know our group right now -- with where we are in our development -- we need to approach them the same way, which is get ready to win and put everything into figuring out how to get to three wins in this quarter (of the season)." The Chiefs will try to finish this regular season unbeaten at home when they host the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

Fantasy Analysis:

This is good news for owners of Matt Cassel, Dwayne Bowe @DwayneBowe82, Jamaal Charles @jcharles25 and Thomas Jones. I'm sure the Chiefs don't want to face the New England Patriots, and a win here would make that scenario impossible until the AFC Championship round. Maybe they won't play the entire game if it gets out of hand, but those four should be able to get you enough fantasy points to be starter-worthy before KC calls off the dogs. Bowe and Charles are absolute must-starts. Cassel is at least a top-12 QB and Jones is a decent RB2 with the good matchup.
