Saints' Chris Ivory still feeling effects of hamstring injury
Chris Ivory
said Thursday that his injured hamstring is feeling better. It's not game-ready, but he's hoping it will be when the Saints take face the Falcons on Monday night. He missed last week's game at Baltimore with a strained hamstring, which he suffered in week 14.
"So I'm not full speed yet," Ivory told the New Orleans Times-Picayune. "I'd say about 90, 95 percent. So I've kind of got to pace myself at what speed I go in practice, so that I will be ready for Monday.
"Earlier in practice, it was feeling pretty good for the most part. But as we got to going, I tried to open up. And I'm probably not 100 percent, so once I tried to open up, I felt that grabbing feeling on it. But I think all that will get worked out this week. A little more treatment these next couple days, I think that will help."
Fantasy Analysis:
Without Ivory in week 15, Pierre Thomas
led the Saints' rushing attack, but he didn't do much. He carried the ball six times for 20 yards. Julius Jones and Reggie Bush chipped in with four carries each, but combined for just seven rushing yards. With another tough matchup on the horizon, Thomas or Ivory -- if he is able to play to play -- is just a mediocre flex play in deep leagues. Atlanta has allowed the eighth-fewest fantasy points to running backs this season.
