Colts' Addai wants to play

Indianapolis Colts running back Joseph Addai expects to return to the field on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. Addai had missed the last eight games due to a nerve injury in his left shoulder. >"I feel like it's a great chance. I feel like I'm heading in the right direction," Addai said Thursday, one day after fully participating in practice. "I felt good. I didn't set myself back. Really, I'm just happy to put on a uniform and just get back into it." In his absence, running backs Donald Brown @Donaldb31 and Javarris James @HurricaneJames5 have played. On the season, Addai has 93 carries for 406 yards and three rushing TDs.

Fantasy Analysis:

Addai hasn't played since Week 6 against the Washington Redskins. He was playing relatively well but after such a long absence, it's hard to project what he's capable of and how willing the Colts will be to give him the ball. For those fantasy owners who stuck Addai on their bench and waited it out, Addai is still a lock for at least a dozen touches at a minimum. In the first six weeks of the season, he was averaging 18 touches per game. Considering the critical nature of these fantasy playoff games, sticking in an ice cold, but healthy Addai is ballsy. Oakland has allowed over 2,000 total yards to RBs all season to go along with 15 touchdowns. The points should be there, but then again, Addai may just become a decoy.
