Chiefs' Cassel is a game-time decision

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel is listed as questionable and his playing status will be a game-time decision for this Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams. Cassel did not play last week in a shutout loss against the San Diego Chargers. Head coach Todd Haley told reporters his status remains unclear. "Without getting into details, (evaluation) has been ongoing because this isn't your run-of-the-mill injury that a lot of us have a lot of experience with, so we do have to lean to the doctors a bunch in making sure that the right thing's being done," Haley said. If Cassel cannot play, the Chiefs will once again use backup quarterback Brodie Croyle who struggled mightily and was the catalyst in the Chiefs' inept offense.

Fantasy Analysis:

Cassel has to play. Croyle is just awful. This whole season has been leading up to these final few games. For anyone who watched the Chiefs loss this past week, they know likely without a doubt that if Croyle plays against the Rams, the Chiefs are going to lose. In ten career starts, Croyle is 0-10. For Cassel owners who are able to tweak their rosters at the last minute, Cassel is a solid start if he plays. St. Louis is far from a powerhouse and with wide receiver Dwayne Bowe @DwayneBowe82 to throw to, Cassel could have a big statement game.
