Colt McCoy back in the Browns' saddle

It's not like Jake Delhomme made a compelling case, but Browns head coach Eric Mangini ended any possible debate Thursday; he named Colt McCoy @ColtMcCoy the team's starting quarterback for week 15 and the rest of this season. "I felt like [McCoy has] earned this opportunity and I want to give it to him," Mangini told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "I want to see how he continues to grow. This is by no stretch just throwing a young guy in for the sake of throwing a young guy in. If I didn't think he could go out and lead us and be successful doing that, then I wouldn't make this decision. But I do feel that way and I feel strongly about it." McCoy has played much better than Delhomme and Seneca Wallace this season. He hasn't played since week 11 due to a high ankle sprain, but is expected to step back into the lineup Sunday versus Cincinnati.

Fantasy Analysis:

McCoy is the best man for the Browns, but not for you. Granted, he turned in some Freeman-like fantasy outputs against the Jets and Jaguars a few weeks ago and he accumulates some yards on the ground as a bonus. But you probably don't want him, even in a two-QB league, after nearly a month off. After the Bengals, McCoy and the Browns wrap up against the Ravens and Steelers.
