Steelers' Heath Miller has 'absolutely no' concussion symptoms
There's a lot of gray area when it comes to describing someone as being "recovered" from a concussion, but that's how the Pittsburgh Steelers are describing tight end Heath Miller right now. Head coach Mike Tomlin told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review on Monday that Miller has passed a series of neurological tests and "has absolutely no symptoms" from the concussion he suffered in week 13 at Baltimore. Tomlin said he expects Miller to practice Wednesday and play his typical role in Sunday's showdown against the New York Jets. He has caught 33 passes for 384 yards and just one touchdown this season.
Fantasy Analysis:
The Jets have been relatively forgiving to tight ends lately. They have allowed tight end touchdowns in three of their past six games. Since week nine, they have allowed fantasy games ranging from decent to excellent to less-than-household names such as Brandon Pettigrew, Benjamin Watson, Joel Dreessen and Aaron Hernandez. That said, Miller hasn't surpassed six fantasy points in any but one game this year. The matchup is serviceable and tight end production has been chaotic in 2010, but Miller isn't getting enough work for me to tout him as anything more than a very borderline TE1 this week.
