Packers' Rodgers concussed again
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers
suffered his second concussion of the season on Sunday in a loss to the Detroit Lions. Late in the second quarter, Rodgers was hit hard on back-to-back plays. He ended up finishing the drive but was replaced with backup Matt Flynn. The Lions won the game, 7-3. "He was a little groggy after those two plays, and the medical staff and Aaron decided it was in his best interest not to go back in," head coach Mike McCarthy said. "That's not my call, and I don't know any specifics." Rodgers suffered his first concussion of the season in October in a game against the Washington Redskins. His status for next week's game is to be determined.
Fantasy Analysis:
The Packers really can't afford to lose any more games. The Chicago Bears still hold a one game lead after losing to New England on Sunday. Green Bay is in a tough wild-card race between Tampa Bay, Philadelphia and the New York Giants, depending on which team wins the NFC East. The Packers will definitely need to be at their best next week in a Sunday night game at New England. Rodgers hasn't missed a game since he became the regular starter. Considering what is at stake and how difficult the opponent is, it's tough to imagine Rodgers missing the game but that will be ironed out over the next few days.
