Dolphins' Brandon Marshall feels like he's ready to play
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall
admits that he tried to play last week, he wanted to play last week. But the coaching staff thought better of it and decided to give his strained right hamstring more time to heal. Marshall said Thursday that extra time has done wonders for him and now he is completely ready to play Sunday against the New York Jets.
"The three or four days that I had extra to rest was huge, [made] a big difference," Marshall told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "Practice on Wednesday was totally different, and gave me piece of mind that [the hamstring] is healed in there, and I should be able to make the plays that I'm normally capable of making."
Marshall has been limited in practice all week, including Friday. He is listed as questionable on the Dolphins' official injury report, put expected to play. He hasn't played since week 11's loss to the Chicago Bears.
Fantasy Analysis:
Forget worrying about his hamstring or his low production this season; Marshall is on track for many meetings with Darrelle Revis on Sunday. All of that makes him a clear WR3 in my mind, but one with plenty of upside. Don't forget that he caught 10 passes for 166 yards and a score when he faced the Jets earlier this season. Of course, Revis didn't play in that game.
