Colts owner rules out Austin Collie, Joseph Addai, Mike Hart
Forget practice observations, words from beat writers or coach speak. When you want definitive injury updates on a specific NFL team, the best source is obviously the team's owner. Colts owner Jim Irsay took to Twitter on Tuesday to declare that Austin Collie
, Joseph Addai and Mike Hart
, among others, would miss Thursday's game versus the Tennessee Titans.
Collie is still dealing with post-concussion symptoms. He's been limited in practice lately, but isn't ready to return to the field. That means Blair White will remain in the slot for Indy.
Addai will miss his seventh consecutive game due to nerve damage in his shoulder. Mike Hart re-injured his left ankle during Sunday's game against Dallas. With those two out, look for Donald Brown
and Javarris James
to get most of the carries.
Fantasy Analysis:
The team also dug up and signed Dominic Rhodes today, but as I said earlier, there's no need to put him in your lineup right now. Between the Colts' healthy RBs, I like James this week. He has great goal-line skills and has a fantastic matchup against the Titans, who have been absolutely thrashed on the ground in the past two weeks. Don't forget that Brown suffered his own ankle injury in week 13. He may be limited. White is a touchdown target for Peyton Manning, but he doesn't add much in terms of yards. He's in the 35-45 range among fantasy wide receivers for me this week.
