Per usual, Chargers nursing lots of injuries

The San Diego Chargers have become used to coping with injuries to skill players. So I'm sure their latest injury report isn't causing too much panic. Obviously, Antonio Gates @AntonioGates85 is in pain every day and will be a game-time decision against the Kansas City Chiefs. Head coach Norv Turner said Monday running back Darren Sproles @DarrenSproles had a headache after suffering a concussion the day before. But Turner also said Sproles "felt pretty good" and there is hope that he'll be allowed to play this week. Wide receiver Legedu Naanee @naanee11 aggravated his hamstring injury and the odds are apparently against him suiting up. Vincent Jackson @VincentTJackson's playing status is still up in the air. Turner wants to see how he runs and recovers during the practice week. He missed Sunday's game versus Oakland because of a calf strain.

Fantasy Analysis:

It seems that Malcom Floyd made it through week 13 unscathed, so that's good news. I would bet against Jackson playing. His injury was initially expected to keep him out for at least two games anyway. I have to believe Gates will suit up unless he suffers a serious setback with his feet. San Diego will certainly need him for a must-win contest. Sproles may still play, but his value will be limited for as long as Mike Tolbert is playing. Ryan Mathews was active Sunday but didn't get on the field. He'll have some value before the season ends, but probably not enough to matter in most fantasy leagues.
